Employment Specialist (Job Coach II)
About the role
This Job Coach position supports people working in the community in competitive employment. They assist the person to maintain a job through on-site visits and other workplace supports. The Job Coach learns the job duties of the person they are supporting and then they assist them to build proficiency over time.
Responsibilities
- Support individuals in maintaining competitive employment.
- Conduct on-site visits and provide workplace supports.
- Learn the job duties of the person being supported.
- Assist the individual to build proficiency over time.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Supervisory and Human Service experience preferred.
- Experience in grounds maintenance, housekeeping, and/or janitorial work preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours required.
- Valid NYS driver's license meeting Agency standards required.
