About the role
The primary responsibility is to assess, establish training programs, and place participants in the workforce within Kanawha, Mingo, Logan, and Boone counties in West Virginia. The main office is located in Charleston, West Virginia. Reporting to the Creating Opportunities for Recovery Employment Director.
Responsibilities
- Assessing participant needs and qualifications
- Establishing and implementing training programs
- Connecting participants with employment opportunities
- Maintaining relationships with local employers
- Reporting progress and outcomes to supervisors
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, or related field
- Experience in workforce development or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Qualifications
- Knowledge of local labor market trends and resources
- Understanding of federal and state workforce development policies
- Ability to use technology for data management and reporting
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
