Employment Specialist (Bilingual Spanish Preferred)

Description Community Options, Inc.is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 11 states. We are Now Hiring a Full-time Bilingual (Spanish preferred) Employment SpecialistinTucson, AZ to coach persons with developmental disabilities and prepare them for employment. The Employment Specialist will develop essential job skills for persons with disabilities and assist in job placement. Starting pay is $18.00/per hour Responsibilities Provide the necessary assistance for people with disabilities to be placed in competitive employment.Coach the person with disabilities to develop independent job skills.Work side-by-side with persons with disabilities at job sites.Ability to work with all types of criminal backgrounds, including sex offendersReinforce essential skills, or teach new skills such as developing a resume, conducting a successful job interview, and completing a job application.Accurately complete all documentation.Experience with billing and authorization processes, particularly in employment or vocational servicesEmployee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigationAdditional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalentFlexible HoursBilingual Spanish PreferredTwo years’ full-time work experience in supporting people with disabilitiesValid driver's license with satisfactory driving record and reliable transportation Why Community Options?
