Employment Specialist
Mozaic (a chapter of The Arc) is hiring for an Employment Specialist in Fulton, NY. Employment Specialists are essential for the difference they make in the lives of the people they support, teaching life and work skills daily and developing individualized activities and job opportunities.
About the role
This position involves driving to community locations to promote personal growth and independence. Employment Specialists communicate and problem-solve with team members and service providers to deliver quality services. The role enhances worker skill development, ensures timely documentation, and fosters positive relationships with employers and community sites. It also assists individuals in building interpersonal skills, creating resumes, developing job leads, filling out applications, and honing interview skills to align abilities, interests, and skills with suitable work opportunities.
Responsibilities include job development, training, job coaching, interventions, and situational counseling related to employment. The role ensures compliance with regulations, agency policies, and procedures while contributing to the identification and development of new services and support opportunities that enhance quality of life choices.

- Ensure timely completion of necessary documentation, including for Life Plan Reviews.

- Assist individuals in building interpersonal skills, creating resumes, developing job leads, filling out applications, and honing interview skills.
- Provide job development, training, job coaching, interventions, and situational counseling related to employment.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, agency policies, and procedures.
- Contribute to identifying and developing new services and support opportunities.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Valid NYS Driver's License is required.

Pay
$18.75 - $20.50 per hour, based on experience.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM (hours may vary depending on needs). 37.5 hours per week.
