Employment Specialist
Requirements
- Active Driver’s License within the state of Louisiana or ability to transfer license to LA.
- Bachelor’s in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work or Counseling.
- Willingness to work in a community-based setting and with members diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness.
Responsibilities
Assist members with reaching occupational and/or educational goals.
Provide our members with vocational rehabilitation through assessment and supportive employment methods.
Aid our members in maintaining resources and benefits that can assist them in meeting their basic needs.
Offer crisis support, reinforcements, and education to all members on the team.
Qualifications
- Experience with evidence-based services for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of vocational rehabilitation techniques and resources.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Earn $22/hour + $7,500/year mileage stipend.
