About the Role
The Employment Specialist supports justice-involved individuals by facilitating education, career planning, and employment readiness.
Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom and one-on-one coaching sessions
- Assess participant skills and progress
- Collaborate with care teams to coordinate services
- Build relationships with local employers and community organizations
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in team meetings
- Perform physical job duties, including setup and movement
Requirements
- 2-3 years of workforce development or coaching experience, especially with formerly incarcerated populations
- Effective communication and intervention skills
- Passion for the mission and professionalism
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license for transportation
- Physical ability to perform job duties
- Pass background and drug tests
- Verify employment and education credentials
Qualifications
- Preferred certifications: Career Coach or Offenders Workforce Development Specialist
