Job Summary
Supervise a dynamic team of Direct Support Professionals who coach individuals served working at businesses throughout the Twin Cities/Western Metro. Make your department shine through service coordination, management and evaluation!
Job Duties
- Provides hands-on support within Employment Services, supporting staff and coordinating client services
- Hires, trains and supervises a team of approximately 7 Direct Support Professionals comprised of Job Coaches and Float Staff
- Works with the Director to lead the team in developing, planning, and implementing high quality support for individuals served
- Manages a caseload of approximately 30 individuals served working in the community: overseeing 245D documentation and person-centered outcomes, mentoring staff on implementation, and leading support team meetings
- Acts as an advocate for individuals served during their employment, with an emphasis on collaboration with employers and creative problem solving to address challenges
- Supports the agency through administrative responsibilities such as scheduling substitute staff and answering the call-in line
- Collaborates with Partnership Resources’ Employment Development staff to support individuals served when they gain a new job, assisting with job training and transportation set up
- Occasional substitute coverage for Job Coaches, providing direct care support for individuals served at their place of employment
- Oversees and enforces health & safety procedures within the department including medication administration, lifting/transferring, and environmental hazards
Requirements
- Must meet Designated Coordinator qualifications in accordance with 245D licensing requirements: Experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children AND/OR post-secondary education in a field related to human services, education or health that totals a minimum of 4 years
- Candidates who do not meet this requirement as demonstrated by their resume will not be considered
- Knowledge of employment services and a minimum of 1 year experience providing job placement, development or support services
- Ability to use personal vehicle for daily travel throughout the Twin Cities/Western Metro, between businesses and office locations is required
- Ability to transport clients in personal vehicle as needed (for example, to a meeting)
- Must be able to comply with PRI’s Transportation Policy. Mileage reimbursement is provided
- Able to flexibly adjust to frequent schedule, location and working environment changes, going with the flow
- Able to learn, understand and implement Chapter 245D licensing requirements
- Must be able to push/pull/lift 21-50 pounds
- Able to withstand 6 or more hours of standing or walking in an 8-hour workday
- Able to pass a background study with the MN Department of Human Services
- Able to be authorized to work in the United States without a sponsor visa
