This position is in the Field Operations unit located in the Weirton local office. The primary responsibilities include interviewing customers to obtain information related to unemployment benefits or job placement, performing data entry, assisting and referring job seekers to available jobs, working with employers to encourage job postings, making appropriate referrals, verifying hires, processing job orders, and following agency policies and procedures. Additionally, the position involves taking phone calls from customers and employers, learning about partner agencies, providing referrals, and performing other related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Interview customers to obtain information related to unemployment benefits or job placement
- Perform data entry to enter customer information
- Absorb and refer job seekers to available jobs
- Absorb and refer job seekers to partner agencies for services such as transportation, training, etc.
- Work with employers to encourage the posting of job openings and make appropriate referrals
- Verify hires and process job orders
- Follow up with employers
- Take phone calls from customers and employers
- Learn about partner agencies and provide referrals
- Perform other related duties as assigned
