About the role
The Employment Manager at Community Options, Inc. is responsible for developing and implementing employment programs, supervising employment specialists, managing contract disbursements, facilitating job placements, networking with business leaders, and assisting with grant development.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate community-based vocational and employment programs
- Supervise, evaluate, and provide direct support to employment specialists
- Responsible for contract disbursements for community-based programs
- Establish a method of job placement that includes a survey of potential job openings and facilitates interviews with potential employers and participants
- Network with business leaders in the community to increase employment opportunities for persons with disabilities
- Aid in the training of people with disabilities on the required curriculum
- Assist with grant development for vocation and employment programs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with one year of experience working with people with disabilities in an integrated employment setting, or
- High school diploma or equivalent with three years of experience working with people with disabilities in an integrated employment setting
- QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional) preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to effectively work under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide multiple supports to multiple participants
