Employment Litigation Associate
About the role
Our St. Louis office has an opportunity for an employment litigation associate to join the firm’s dynamic and long‑established practice representing premier local and national employers. The associate will provide high‑level legal services within a sophisticated labor and employment practice, handling extensive client contact, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel. Duties include, but are not limited to, performing legal research, drafting memoranda, motions, and pleadings, attending court conferences, handling discovery‑related activities and investigations, drafting position statements and dispositive motions, and counseling clients on employment‑law matters. The role offers a collegial, team‑oriented environment with regular in‑person conferences, attorney development programs, writing, publishing, speaking opportunities, and access to professional development training.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor.
- Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing in Missouri; must obtain and maintain Illinois licensure within one year of hire (current Illinois licensure not required).
- Must meet continuing licensure requirements during employment.
- Minimum 1+ years of litigation experience.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- We are not working with outside recruiters for this position.
