Key Responsibilities
- Handle management-side employment litigation matters through all stages of a dispute
- Conduct internal workplace investigations
- Advises employers on day-to-day employment law issues, including terminations, leaves of absence, employee discipline and workplace policies
- Draft and review employment agreements, policies and related documentation
- Counsels clients on trade secret disputes, restrictive covenants and employee mobility matters
- Advises on employment-related aspects of mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions
- Draft substantive motions, briefs and other legal filings
- Works directly with clients to develop practical, business-focused solutions
Who You Are
- 3rd–5th year associate
- Experience in management-side employment litigation and counselling
- Much experience litigating employment disputes
- Significant experience advising fast-growing companies on employment compliance matters
- Experience with trade secrets, non-compete issues and employee non-solicitation matters preferred
- Experience supporting employment issues arising in M&A transactions preferred
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Member of the California Bar
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $260,000 – $365,000 (DOE based on class year)
