About the Role

We are looking for a proactive employee to provide pre- and post-employment skill development and employment opportunities for individuals who have an intellectual/developmental disability.

Responsibilities

• Delivering person-centered services from a special education perspective
• Assessing and documenting participant’s skills, needs, and interests to determine appropriate supports
• Researching, developing, and creating competitive internships and employment opportunities
• Developing and maintaining relationships with local businesses, human resources groups, and employment networks
• Providing job coaching

Requirements

• High school diploma (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Psychology (preferred)
• Experience working with individuals with an intellectual/developmental disability (preferred)
• OPWDD experience (preferred)
• Valid NYS driver’s license and transportation necessary to meet program needs
