About the role
WWC Global, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is seeking Employment Coaches to support the FL National Guard Employment Support Program (FLESP).
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive career assessments to identify the client’s individual strengths, skills, and aspirations.
- Aid clients in setting and refining their short- and long-term career goals.
- Provide personalized guidance on resume writing, cover letter creation, and job search strategies.
- Develop and deliver workshops or training sessions on relevant career development topics.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning by identifying skill gaps and recommending appropriate development opportunities.
- Guide employees through career transitions, including promotions, lateral moves, and changes in professional focus.
- Facilitate mock interviews to enhance interview skills and confidence.
- Collaborate with the HR team to align career development initiatives with overall talent management strategies.
- Stay familiar with industry trends and labor market dynamics to provide up-to-date career advice.
- Offer support in negotiating job offers, promotions, and other career-related opportunities.
- Weekend support may be required to align with Guard and Reserve drill weekends.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum of four years of experience in employment services programs, personnel management, or human resources.
- Strong understanding of career development and counseling techniques.
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with various job markets and industries and knowledge of local and national job markets.
- Proficiency in career counseling techniques and use of career assessment tools and resources.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Previous experience in career counseling or employment coaching.
- Experience organizing and conducting workshops or seminars.
- Strong network of industry contacts and employers.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Empathy and a genuine interest in helping others succeed.
- Knowledge of job search strategies and resume building.
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
- Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
- Professional proficiency in English is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver’s license (proof of which will be required after hire) and ability to qualify for and maintain company liability insurance through a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation including fingerprinting.
- Ability to access federal facilities in compliance with Real ID.
