About the role
The Employment Development Specialist I (EDS I) position supports the daily operations of the UI Center. Key responsibilities include researching, analyzing, and interpreting program data, assisting with budget tracking, benefits administration, and special projects.
Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and interpret program data to identify trends and evaluate operational performance.
- Develop recommendations to improve efficiency and service delivery.
- Monitor office performance through quality reviews, FOBES, and other performance metrics.
- Support business operations by assisting with budget tracking, benefits administration, OE&E, procurement activities, facilities planning, health and safety initiatives, and special projects.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure operational priorities are achieved.
- Coordinate reports, prepare technical documentation, and provide guidance to staff on new procedures.
- Plan, coordinate projects, and support operational initiatives.
- Provide guidance to staff on new procedures, assist with workload planning and scheduling, and support quality improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate determination schedules for UI interviewers and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
This position requires an analytical and detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills, organized ability to manage multiple priorities, proficiency in interpreting data, and effective communication skills. Candidates must have experience in data analysis, project coordination, process improvement, and exceptional internal customer service.
Qualifications
To qualify, candidates must meet the Minimum Qualifications as outlined in the Classification Specification. These include a bachelor's degree and relevant experience in a similar role.

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $4,570.00 - $5,725.00 A and $5,494.00 - $6,880.00 B, with potential for negotiation based on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
The position is a hybrid role with a flexible telework arrangement, with the amount of telework determined by the department and subject to change as business needs arise.
