About the Role

The Employment Attorney serves as the strategic legal advisor to the organization on a broad range of labor and employment matters. This position provides legal counsel and risk assessment regarding employment law, litigation management for EEOC and employment matters, union and non-union workforce issues, collective bargaining activities, labor relations strategy, FLSA and Wage & Hour matters, compliance, investigations, and workforce-related regulatory requirements.

Working closely with General Counsel, Human Resources, Operations, Compliance, and executive leadership, the Employment Attorney supports organizational objectives by proactively identifying legal risks, providing practical business-oriented solutions, managing labor and employment disputes, monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, and ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. This position also supports advocacy efforts, policy development, workforce initiatives, and external legal matters impacting the organization’s employees and labor relations strategies.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active admission and good standing with at least one U.S. state bar in which the Company conducts business.
  • Minimum of five years of experience practicing labor and employment law.
  • Experience advising employers on employment litigation and regulatory compliance.
  • Preferred experience with healthcare, long-term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Preferred experience working with labor relations, employee relations, unionized workforces, collective bargaining agreements, labor arbitrations, and National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) matters.

Schedule

Full-Time Opportunity Available. Shift Needed: Varies. Program details can vary amongst buildings.
