Employment Attorney

About the role

This mid- to senior-level Employment Attorney position is for an attorney interested in joining a collaborative practice group at a powerhouse law firm. The role focuses on representing employers in employment disputes including wage and hour, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and leave matters. Responsibilities span the full lifecycle of cases—from drafting pleadings and managing discovery to motions practice, trial preparation, and representation at depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials—along with client counseling and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in employment disputes (wage and hour, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, leave matters)
• Handle cases from start to finish: drafting pleadings, managing discovery, motions practice, trial preparation
• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
• Counsel clients on employment matters and risk mitigation
• Mentor junior associates and engage in business development

Requirements

• 5+ years of employment litigation experience
• Oregon State Bar membership
• Juris Doctor (JD)
