About the role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Plaintiff Employment Attorney to represent employees in a wide range of workplace disputes. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for advocating on behalf of workers and experience handling employment litigation from intake through resolution, including trial if necessary. This role involves managing a caseload of matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, and wrongful termination.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of plaintiff-side employment law matters from intake through settlement or trial
- Conduct client consultations and evaluate potential claims
- Draft and file complaints, motions, and other legal pleadings
- Handle all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and motion practice
- Prepare and respond to written discovery (interrogatories, requests for production, etc.)
- Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance carriers
- Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation, exhibits, and trial strategy
- Stay current on federal and state employment laws and regulations
- Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case status

Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in [State]
- 2+ years of employment litigation experience (plaintiff-side preferred)
- Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws (e.g., FEHA, FLSA)
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Experience taking and defending depositions
- Trial experience or strong interest in trial advocacy preferred
- Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment
- Strong client advocacy and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with contingency-based litigation
- Background in mediation and settlement negotiations
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
- Familiarity with case management software and e-filing systems

Pay
