Employment Attorney

Responsibilities

• Employment litigation defending discrimination matters, retaliation, restrictive covenants and wage and hour litigation in the state and federal courts of NJ and NY and before government agencies.
• Providing advice and counsel to employers on various employment-related issues including wage and hour, mitigation of risk, performance management, workplace accommodations, leave laws, and reductions-in-force.
• Drafting employment agreements, employment handbooks and related policies.

Requirements

• Detail‑oriented, self‑starter.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of federal, New Jersey, New York State and New York City employment laws.

Skills

• Excellent legal research, drafting and writing ability.
• Analytical and verbal communication skills.

Pay

The anticipated initial annual salary range is $190,000 – $215,000.

Schedule

This position is hybrid from the firm’s New Jersey office.
