About the Employment Section
Mintz's employment attorneys provide advice on various federal, state, and local employment laws applicable to different industries. They handle employment litigation, ADR proceedings, and compliance with employee benefit requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work on all aspects of employment litigation (discrimination, leave, wage and hour, non-compete, and breach of contract matters)
- Provide everyday employment and HR-related counseling
- Draft employment-related policies and agreements, including employee handbooks, employment agreements, and separation agreements
- Conduct investigations and deliver compliance training
- Collaborate with team members approximately 60% of the time in accordance with the firm’s guidelines
Qualifications
- Graduated with a JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admitted or eligible for admission in California
- At least three years of employment law experience
- Experience in employment litigation before state and federal courts and administrative agencies
- Knowledgeable in advising employers on compliance matters
- Experience drafting employment policies and agreements
- Experience conducting investigations and delivering compliance training
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and exercise attention to detail
- Effective collaboration and teamwork skills

The salary range for this position is $235,000 to $365,000. This position is bonus eligible. Mintz offers a comprehensive benefits package.
