Employer Relations Specialist-MMC
The Employer Relations Specialist (ERS) under the supervision of the Director of Career Services (DCS) is responsible for developing and managing employer relationships to enhance employment opportunities for students and graduates. Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining sustainable relationships with local, regional, and national employers.
- Procuring employer partnerships, Advisory Board Members, Externship Sites, and Grass Roots activities for campus participation.
- Maintaining detailed records of employer visits, job leads, and job orders in CampusVue.
- Assisting in gathering Employment Verification Reports from employers to document graduate employment in CampusVue.
- Communicating with Career Coaches and DCS for interview feedback.
- Delivering a Daily Activity Report (DAR) and Expense Report to DCS.
- Prioritizing and strategizing for optimal outcomes.
Qualifications include an Associate’s degree in a business or sales-related field or equivalent work experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong prioritization and multitasking abilities, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently, be technically proficient, and understand building relationships, networking, and community-based business development. The position requires occasional standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, as well as lifting up to 25 pounds. Physical demands include occasional exposure to weather conditions, moderate noise levels, and the ability to perform tasks requiring close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
