Job Summary

The Employer Relations Specialist (ERS) under the supervision of the Director of Career Services (DCS) is responsible for developing and managing employer relationships to enhance employment opportunities for students and graduates.

About the Role

Build and maintain sustainable and long-term relationships with local, regional, and national employers to increase employment opportunities for all campus graduates. Develop and maintain community involvement to support successful company branding within the physical footprint of the campus. Attend weekly meetings with DCS and other members of the Career Services team to understand and meet the weekly goals required to provide available graduates and upcoming graduates with employment opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify the optimal number of job leads and job orders for graduate placement through employer cold-calls, off-site employer meetings, and prospecting.
  • Follow-up with employers after graduate interviews for feedback and hiring possibilities.
  • Communicate with the Career Coach and/or the Director of Career Services daily concerning interview feedback.
  • Document all employer meetings, job leads, and job orders in CampusVue.
  • Work closely with Career Coaches to ensure opportunities are developed that are a match for available graduates and upcoming graduates.
  • Deliver Daily Activity Report (DAR) to the Director of Career Services daily.
  • Deliver Expense Report weekly for reimbursement.
  • Prioritize and strategize for optimal outcomes.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in business/sales related field, or minimum 2-years comparable work experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Solid ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrable creativity and innovation in prospecting approach.
  • The ability and willingness to work independently and act on one's independent judgment.
  • Tech-savvy in computer research and database management.
  • An understanding of building relationships, networking, and community-based business development.
  • A focus on customer service and student-oriented satisfaction.
