Employer Relations Specialist
The Employer Relations Specialist (ERS) under the supervision of the Director of Career Services (DCS) is responsible for developing and managing employer relationships to enhance employment opportunities for students and graduates. Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining sustainable relationships with employers to increase job leads and placements.
- Attending weekly meetings with the Career Services team to align with departmental goals.
- Identifying and following up on job leads and job orders through cold-calling, meetings, and prospecting.
- Communicating with Career Coaches and Directors of Career Services for feedback on interviews.
- Documenting all employer meetings, job leads, and job orders in CampusVue.
- Delivering a Daily Activity Report (DAR) and Expense Report to the Director of Career Services.
- Prioritizing tasks and strategizing for optimal outcomes.
Qualifications include an Associate's degree in a business or sales-related field, or equivalent work experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong prioritization and multitasking abilities, and a solid problem-solving and creative approach to prospecting. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, be technically proficient, and demonstrate an understanding of building relationships and community-based business development. The position requires occasional standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, as well as lifting up to 25 pounds. The work environment is usually moderate in noise and weather exposure, and reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
