About the Role

The Employer Relations Specialist (ERS) develops and manages employer relationships to create employment opportunities for students and graduates under the supervision of the Director of Career Services (DCS). Responsibilities include procuring employer partnerships, Advisory Board Members, Externship Sites, and grassroots campus activities. The role involves maintaining organized records of employer visits, job leads, and job orders, as well as assisting with employment verification reports. Upholding Ancora core values is required. Up to 70% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain sustainable, long-term relationships with local, regional, and national employers to increase employment opportunities for graduates.
  • Develop and maintain community involvement to support company branding within the campus footprint.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Director of Career Services and Career Services team to align on goals for graduate employment opportunities.
  • Identify job leads and job orders through employer cold-calls, off-site meetings, and prospecting.
  • Follow up with employers post-interview for feedback and hiring possibilities.
  • Communicate daily with Career Coaches and/or the Director of Career Services regarding interview feedback.
  • Document all employer meetings, job leads, and job orders in CampusVue.
  • Collaborate with Career Coaches to ensure opportunities match available and upcoming graduates.
  • Deliver a Daily Activity Report (DAR) to the Director of Career Services.
  • Submit weekly expense reports for reimbursement.
  • Prioritize and strategize for optimal outcomes.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in a business/sales-related field or minimum 2 years of comparable work experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrable creativity in prospecting.
  • Ability and willingness to work independently and use independent judgment.
  • Technical proficiency in computer research and database management.
  • Understanding of relationship-building, networking, and community-based business development.
  • Customer service and student-oriented focus.
