Employee Support Coordinator

Information Technology$25–$27/hrFull-time

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Counsels employees on transitioning to regular employment.
  • Supports employees in developing individualized post-employment plans.
  • Conducts employment readiness assessments.
  • Builds relationships with employees and prospective employers.
  • Participates in job placement activities.
  • Conducts workshops and presentations on various topics.
  • Builds relationships with educational institutions and government agencies.
  • Produces informational materials for employees.
  • Supports employees in sealing records, seeking legal assistance, and completing applications.
  • Develops and monitors an Employment and Educational Plan.
  • Collaborates with other staff to coordinate services and implement the program.
  • Assists with fulfilling grant and contract requirements.
  • Participates in program evaluation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, internet.
  • Certificates and Licenses: Valid California Driver License.
