Employee Relations Specialist
About the role
The Employee Relations Specialist will serve as the face of HR and the primary HR support for front-line leaders and employees. They will conduct investigations, coach and advise managers and supervisors, support performance management efforts, interpret policies, and ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational standards. They will also collaborate with the Employee Engagement team to plan, organize, facilitate, and support engagement initiatives, programs, and events.
Responsibilities
- Conduct workplace investigations and provide expert support for employees
- Coach and guide managers through policy interpretation discussions and investigations
- Manage and execute Employee Relations matters from investigations to support
- Document and handle issues/conflicts with managers/supervisors
- Manage and execute strategies and activities for developing line manager capability
- Collaborate with line managers to ensure they have the resources necessary to perform HR functions (performance management, counseling, documentation, employee engagement and communications)
- Facilitate labor law compliance
- Coordinate and deliver HR programs and communication
- Provide coverage to other Moog sites as needed
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree
- Over five (5) years of progressive experience in a similar professional role, working with employee relation matters such as workplace investigations, corrective actions, policy interpretation, and alike
- Able to commute to either our Highland Heights, OH and our Orrville, OH facilities
- Able to travel, as needed, for remote site support and/or corporate initiatives

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience with employee engagement and performance management
- Knowledge of employment laws and organizational standards

Cleveland, OH: $85,000.00–$115,000.00 Annually
