Policies and Procedures
Maintains in-depth knowledge of HR and Employee Relations topics, policies and procedures. Interprets and advises employees on University, OSHR and UNC System policies.
Program Management
Ensures compliance with the Random Drug and Alcohol Testing program. Manages network of certified mediators and trained hearing committee members.
Performance Consulting
- Provides education and consultation on performance management practices
- Gathers and analyzes Employee Relations data to identify trends, potential risk areas, and development opportunities
- Develops and delivers general campus-wide employee relations-related trainings and performance management education
Data-Driven Training
- Conducts exit interviews, summarizes findings, and proposes strategies for improvement
- Gathers and analyzes Employee Relations data to identify trends, potential risk areas, and development opportunities
Conflict Resolution
- Consults on a variety of workplace issues such as interpersonal conflict, performance or conduct deficiencies, morale concerns, or departmental concerns
- Facilitates resolution options such as disciplinary actions, training, resource referrals, and informal and/or facilitated discussions
- Proactively monitors and follows up on individual situations to ensure follow-through on recommended actions and disciplinary steps
Strategic Partnership
- Serves as an HR business partner to department leaders on organizational and day-to-day concerns
Schedule and Hours
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. May occasionally work outside standard business hours to meet the needs of second and third shift employees.
Suggested Salary Range
Up to $70,000 depending on experience
