You will be responsible for handling employee concerns, addressing workplace conflicts, and implementing strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction. You will work closely with various departments and assigned internal client groups to ensure legal and regulatory compliance, mitigate risks, and support Emory's mission and goals. Employee Relations ManagementAct as a primary point of contact for employees seeking guidance on workplace issues, disputes, or conflictsInvestigate and resolve employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary matters in accordance with Emory policies and applicable lawsProvide advice and support to management in handling complex employee relations issuesPolicy Development and ImplementationAs appropriate, collaborate with HR leadership and legal teams to develop and update company policies and procedures related to employee relationsEnsure consistent application of policies across the organization and conduct training sessions to educate employees and managersConflict ResolutionMediate conflicts between employees, managers, and teams to promote a positive and inclusive workplace cultureRecommend and implement conflict resolution strategies to prevent recurring issuesPerformance ManagementAssist in the performance management process, including coaching managers on effective performance conversations, conducting investigations related to performance issues, and recommending appropriate actionsEmployee EngagementDevelop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retentionConduct surveys, analyze results, and provide recommendations for improvementLegal ComplianceStay current with employment laws and regulations, ensuring Emory policies and practices are in complianceCollaborate with stakeholders to assess, develop, and implement effective compliance and risk management strategiesWork closely with legal counsel to address legal issues related to employee relationsClient Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong working relationships with internal clients and act as a trusted advisor on HR and compliance mattersProvide clear and effective communication to convey complex legal issues in a comprehensible manner Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related fieldMaster's degree or HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) is a plusMinimum of three (3) years of experience in providing employee relations advice, preferably in a corporate or consulting environmentStrong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standardsExcellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skillsOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple complex projects and priorities effectivelyStrong interpersonal and client relationship skills JOIN OUR TEAM TODAY!
