About the role

The RN - Occupational/Employee Health shall be responsible to perform new and annual health screenings and follow-up of work related illnesses and injuries. The RN will ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, both federal and state. This individual will collaborate with Infection Control. Additionally, the RN will ensure a safe working environment.

  • Assess and treat minor injuries / illnesses and counsel employees, volunteers, students on safety and health issues.

Requirements

  • Education / Experience: Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's degree preferred. Prior experience in Occupational Health preferred. Minimum 3-5 years hospital based experience required.
  • Licenses / Certifications: Active RN license required, BLS required.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Work is continuously physically and frequently emotionally demanding. Must be able to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to cope with stressful situations.

Skills

  • Ability to assess and treat minor injuries / illnesses and counsel employees, volunteers, students on safety and health issues.
