Employee Health Nurse

About the role

Responsible for the Employee Health function for the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Conducts Pre-Employment Health Screenings and approves candidates “clear” for hire.
• Follow-up with new hires who require additional clearances, testing or immunizations.
• Interpret lab results for new hires and current employees.
• Aid employees with work restrictions by coordinating proper accommodations, if available.
• Maintain contact with employees being accommodated.
• Aid in follow-up for all Bloodborne Pathogen injuries to ensure employees receive proper treatment.
• Notify employees of TB Skin Testing requirements and review departmental logs for compliance.
• Prevent the transmission of infections between staff and patients.

Requirements

• Unrestricted AL or Multi State RN or LPN license.
• BLS certification.
• At least 2 years of acute care or employee health experience.
