RN-EMPLOYEE HEALTH NURSE

About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified RN-Employee Health Nurse to join our team at UAB Medical West. As an RN-Employee Health Nurse, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees at Medical West. You will play a critical role in promoting a healthy work environment and preventing workplace injuries and illnesses. Your expertise in employee health and wellness will be essential in maintaining a productive and thriving workforce.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Alabama
• Must be a Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in employee health or related field
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CDC, APIC, ACIP and Joint Commission requirements for employee health is preferred.
• Experience with Alabama Workers Compensation preferred.
• Certification in occupational health nursing
• Experience in a hospital or clinical setting

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-employment health screenings and assessments
• Develop and implement employee health and wellness programs
• Provide education and training on health and safety topics
• Manage employee health records and maintain confidentiality
• Collaborate with management and HR to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Skills

• Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate and train employees on health and safety topics
• Your knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations will be essential in ensuring compliance and promoting a safe work environment
• Your ability to develop and implement employee health and wellness programs will be critical in maintaining a healthy and productive workforce
• Your attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality will be essential in managing employee health records
