About the Role

As an Employee Experience & Communications Intern, you will assist the Employee Experience Business Partner in the day-to-day operations of employee communications and experience. This part-time Fall internship expects 15-25 hours of availability per week. Start date and weekly schedule are flexible and will be set at the beginning of your internship. Hybrid and remote availability will be considered. The internship has the option to run through winter break, up to a maximum of January 15.

This is an entry-level position ideal for those pursuing a career in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Events, Employee Experience, or Business. You should possess excellent communication, critical thinking, interpersonal, and organizational skills, be detail-oriented, a quick learner, and able to problem solve.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating, reviewing, and scheduling internal company communications and events, including company announcements, personnel and department updates, monthly newsletters, and all-employee webinars.
  • Source and create company news posts to highlight team wins, welcome new team members, and other updates for the company Intranet homepage.
  • Assist in maintaining and auditing the company Intranet (SharePoint) to ensure up-to-date content across all pages.
  • Create internal collateral including flyers and graphics for digital screens.
  • Assist in maintaining the company store and providing support to employees ordering from it.
  • Handle other communication and employee experience projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Events, Employee Experience, or Business.
  • Excellent grammar and writing skills.
  • A top-notch eye for detail.
  • Understanding of branding guidelines.
  • Course(s) and/or experience in marketing, communications, public relations, events, employee experience, and/or graphic design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Skills

  • Adobe Illustrator (bonus skill).
  • Hoopla, CMS, Microsoft Teams/Forms/SharePoint (bonus skills).
