About the role

This position serves as the secondary service contact for the Account Manager and acts as support for the benefits department. You will assist with data entry and day-to-day servicing under the supervision of the Department Team Leader and Account Managers. You will work closely with all department teammates to ensure day-to-day service needs are met.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a personal computer and appropriate software packages, demonstrating above-average skills with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word documents.
  • Respond to all emails within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Draft, construct, and review various reports for customer/prospect presentations, including demographic and financial analysis as assigned.
  • Manage and maintain the Benefits Account Management (BAM) System.
  • Maintain monthly expiration reports.
  • Create and deliver monthly customer communications as needed.
  • Assist Account Managers with the annual renewal process, census preparation, open enrollment, and new business implementation on all assigned accounts.
  • Maintain effective information management between Account Manager, Producer, Customer, and Carrier through all applicable means of communication.
  • Ensure all applicable data is kept accurate and files are maintained in BAM.
  • Promote teamwork, a positive attitude, and commitment to department/agency goals.
  • Follow Agency guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Obtain a full working knowledge of Benefits action items, activities, and cases.
  • Assist and support the benefits team with open enrollment meetings and materials, including creating employee benefits guides and flyers.
  • Obtain a full working knowledge of BAM/AMS Policy coding, Producer/Carrier Commission splits.
  • Be responsible for the completion of any assigned projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the EB Team leader.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer literate and proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor and email etiquette.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Professional business attire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
  • Willing to obtain Florida 2-15 license and satisfy licensing continuing education requirements once obtained.
