Job Details
The employee benefits Account Executive will be responsible for high-level customer experience/services. Working a non-select book of business which is made up of large and/or self-funded clients. Key focus is around retention and rounding out of accounts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and manage client Service Plans with Producer and Account Management team.
- Meet with clients on a regular basis as determined by the client service plan.
- Cross-sell existing business in personal book and co-produced accounts responsible to retain.
- Aid with necessary marketing for preparation of bid specifications and new sales process.
- Aid with marketing on top accounts to verify bids meet the specifications.
- Aide Producer and Account Manager in pre-renewal meetings as set in the workflow procedures and accounts defined by the agency.
- Prepare Stewardship Report prior to pre-renewal/proposal meetings.
- Maintain a proactive service approach and relationship with clients.
- Aid Producers, Marketing and Account Manager in renewal strategy.
- Generate new business appointments through networking, referrals and other sources of prospecting to attract and retain new clients.
- Proof policies for accuracy of coverage and contract terms on accounts defined by agency.
- Aid in solving escalated service issues when needed.
- Aid in renewal/new proposals/presentations to existing clients and prospects if needed.
- Document service issues and meetings/phone calls with client in the EPIC Agency Management system.
- Utilize ALL technology tools and resources to create internal and external efficiencies and provide value added services to customers.
- Oversee client education and communication needs.
Education Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or any other related degree.
- Experience Related experience includes previous sales & service experience, preferably in Life & Health insurance industry.
- Licenses & Certifications Life & Health License.
- Additional Designations preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to research issues, review materials for accuracy, and clearly summarize policy information for clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Teams and Outlook.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-starter who demonstrates initiative and can work both independently and collaboratively.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong customer service mindset and passion for the insurance industry.
