About the Role

Noblis is seeking an Emerging Technologist Architect IV to support our customer in Chantilly VA. The Emerging Technologies Architect serves as a strategic technical leader driving innovation through cutting-edge advancements with a foundational focus on artificial intelligence (AI). Continuously evaluates and integrates best-in-class models, methodologies, and platforms to advance mission effectiveness and operational readiness. Collaborates deeply across the Intelligence Community (IC), private industry, and academia to assess emerging capabilities against complex mission requirements. Acts as a trusted advisor, translating hyper-complex technical architectures and security constraints into highly accessible briefings, capability assessments, and structured governance frameworks to ensure seamless technology adoption and long-term operational sustainment.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously evaluates and integrates best-in-class AI models, methodologies, and platforms to advance mission effectiveness and operational readiness, conducting rigorous assessments of emerging capabilities against complex mission requirements and operational constraints.
  • Serves as a strategic technical leader driving innovation through cutting-edge advancements in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and adjacent emerging technology domains, establishing technology roadmaps that align innovation initiatives with long-term mission objectives.
  • Collaborates deeply across the Intelligence Community (IC), private industry, and academia to identify, assess, and validate emerging capabilities, fostering partnerships that accelerate technology adoption and ensure access to state-of-the-art research and development.
  • Technical Translation and Executive Communication: Translates hyper-complex technical architectures and security constraints into highly accessible briefings, capability assessments, and structured governance frameworks for senior leadership, mission partners, and technical stakeholders.
  • Governance and Adoption Frameworks: Develops and maintains structured governance frameworks that ensure seamless technology adoption, responsible AI implementation, and long-term operational sustainment across enterprise environments.
  • Capability Assessment and Benchmarking: Conducts comprehensive capability assessments of emerging AI technologies, platforms, and methodologies, benchmarking against mission requirements and recommending optimal technology stacks for integration into production environments.
  • Operational Readiness and Sustainment: Ensures long-term operational sustainment of adopted technologies by establishing transition plans, integration architectures, and support frameworks that maintain mission continuity as technology landscapes evolve.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and ability to obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in emerging technology evaluation, AI/ML architecture, or technology strategy, with demonstrated expertise assessing and integrating cutting-edge capabilities into complex operational environments.
  • Deep technical expertise across modern AI disciplines including machine learning, deep learning, large language models, computer vision, natural language processing, and agentic AI systems, with proven ability to evaluate models, platforms, and methodologies against mission requirements
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating across the Intelligence Community (IC), private industry, and academia to assess emerging capabilities, with a proven track record translating research and development into operational technology adoption.
  • Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor, translating hyper-complex technical architectures and security constraints into highly accessible briefings, capability assessments, and governance frameworks for senior leadership and technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience developing structured governance frameworks that ensure seamless technology adoption, responsible AI implementation, and long-term operational sustainment across enterprise environments.

Desired Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
  • Master's degree or PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; PhD preferred.
  • Experience evaluating and integrating emerging AI capabilities across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with knowledge of cloud-native AI/ML services and deployment architectures.
  • Experience supporting federal, defense, intelligence, or national security missions with emerging technology evaluation and integration.
  • AI Safety and Responsible AI: Expertise in responsible AI frameworks, AI safety, and ethical AI governance, with experience applying these principles within classified or sensitive operational environments.
  • Certifications in AI/ML, cloud architecture, cybersecurity, or enterprise architecture disciplines (such as AWS Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or equivalent).

Pay

USD $160,800.00 - USD $251,325.00 /Yr.
