Emerging Project Architect

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Project Architect III to join our Columbus, Ohio office. This role is ideal for an architect who is continuing to build their technical and design skills and is excited to work in a collaborative, studio-based environment. You will work alongside experienced architects, designers, and engineers on a variety of projects, supporting the team through design, documentation, and construction phases.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams through all phases of design and documentation
• Aid in developing drawings, models, and presentations
• Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines under the guidance of senior staff
• Incorporate design ideas and technical requirements into project deliverables
• Participate in team meetings, design reviews, and client presentations

Qualifications

• A background in architectural design with growing technical skills
• Experience working in Revit and producing construction documents
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well on a team
• An attention to detail and a willingness to learn and grow
• An interest in working on a variety of project types and scales

What We’re Looking For

A candidate with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture plus four (4) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, licensed as a registered architect or proven steps towards licensure, preferably in Ohio, knowledge of buildings systems and materials, proficient in Revit with 3D modeling skills in Sketchup and/or Rhino, working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, ability to produce design intent renderings and design concept diagrams, and certification as a LEED Accredited Professional by the USGBC.

• The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
• The range for this position is $77,000 to $107,000 per year.
