Emergency Veterinary Technician - Day Shift

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Day Shift Emergency Veterinary Nurse to join our growing, fast-paced hospital in Malvern, Pennsylvania. You will work alongside a team of experienced and board-certified veterinarians who utilize the latest innovations in medicine and technology to treat companion animals.

Responsibilities

  • Treatment of acute and chronic conditions
  • Performing diagnostic tests and treatments
  • Assisting with anesthesia procedures
  • Collaborating with veterinarians and other healthcare providers
  • Maintaining patient records and documentation

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of veterinary nursing experience, 3 years preferred
  • Proficiency in venipuncture and IVC placement
  • Understanding of animal behavior (fear-free familiarity is a plus)
  • A broad knowledge of small animal surgery, disease processes, and medicine
  • Comfortable with dosages and calculations, including CRI's and IVF additives

Pay

Hourly range $18-34/hour

Schedule

3/12's schedule with weekend rotation, once a month on call required. Anesthesia on call receives an additional $350, Treatment on call receives an additional $300.
