What You’ll Do
- Greet and check in emergency and scheduled patients
- Support clients during urgent and emotional situations with empathy and professionalism
- Answer multi-line phones and assist with emergency inquiries
- Schedule appointments and communicate updates to clients
- Process invoices and client payments accurately
- Maintain clean exam rooms and waiting areas
- Provide education and information to clients as directed by medical staff
- Support the hospital team in a fast-paced and unpredictable emergency environment
- Work collaboratively with doctors, technicians, assistants, and fellow reception team members
What We’re Looking For
- Previous veterinary or animal healthcare experience required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Able to remain calm and organized during emergencies
- Comfortable multitasking in a busy hospital setting
- Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
- Compassionate and patient with both clients and coworkers
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Able to stand and move throughout shifts and lift up to 40 pounds
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holiday coverage as needed
Schedule
Part-Time (
- Saturdays: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- Sundays: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay at $15/hour
- Shift differential pay of $22.95/hour during designated ER shifts
