Emergency Veterinarian

About the role

VCA South Shore Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join their talented team in South Weymouth, Massachusetts. The hospital is part of a larger VCA network and has been serving the Norfolk County area for over 30 years.

Responsibilities

• Care for a diverse and stimulating caseload, including complex surgical and medical cases in a 24-hour setting.
• Work closely with the hospital's specialty department to provide comprehensive care.
• Participate in the hospital's internship program and support staff.
• Utilize advanced equipment such as an ultrasound room, 64 slice CT scanner, C-arm fluoroscopy, and a new telemetry unit.
• Enjoy a supportive, progressive management team and be AHAA certified.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited school.
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Massachusetts.
• Experience in emergency medicine preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
