Emergency Veterinarian

About the role

Join us as an overnight Emergency Veterinarian at VCA Family and Oahu Veterinary Specialty Center. You'll work alongside other emergency veterinarians, specialists, and a Criticalist. Our specialty services include internal medicine specialists, a surgeon, and an ophthalmologist, and all hospitalized cases can be cared for 24/7.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to small animals and exotics
• Work alongside other emergency veterinarians, specialists, and a Criticalist
• Care for hospitalized cases 24/7
• Utilize advanced veterinary technology including diagnostic, therapeutic, and monitoring equipment
• Collaborate with a talented team and be empowered to do your best work
• Develop strong client and Associate relationships built on trust

Requirements

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university or equivalent
• Licensure in good standing to practice in Hawaii state, or the ability to obtain
• A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency and critical care
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passionate about providing high-quality veterinary care

• Proficiency in small animal and exotic emergency medicine

• Ability to work flexible hours, including overnight shifts

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000 to $210,000. Salary is negotiable based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and other relevant credentials.

Schedule

This position will work the overnight shift, Monday – Sunday, Open 24 hours.
