About the role
BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join our team in Conshohocken, PA, part of BluePearl’s Greater Philadelphia Network. The network consists of six multi-specialty and emergency hospitals and one emergency only hospital that provides high quality, compassionate patient care in a collaborative environment. Our hospital in Conshohocken serves pets and their families throughout the main line communities, and in Montgomery, Delaware and Chester counties.
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert care to critically ill or injured pets.
- Utilize cutting-edge diagnostic tools and perform life-saving procedures.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists to make a real impact on the lives of pets and their owners.
- Communicate clearly with pet owners about medical conditions and treatment plans.
- Trauma and critical care cases.
- Perform surgeries and other procedures as needed.
Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree required.
- Completion of a rotating internship in emergency (ER) medicine and critical care (ECC) preferred but not required.
- Ideal candidate will have General Practice (GP) or Humane Animal Medicine practice experience.
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in this state.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, with the ability to make rapid and accurate assessments in emergency situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate bedside manner.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Pennsylvania.
- Experience in emergency and critical care preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
