About the role
VCA Colonial Veterinary Hospital is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their team in Ithaca, New York. The practice offers a blend of general medicine and specialty services including surgery, oncology, internal medicine, and radiology. Equipped with advanced technology such as ultrasound, digital radiography, endoscopy, and CT, the hospital supports a team of over 40 licensed technicians and assistants.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency care to animals in a fast-paced environment

Requirements
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in New York State
- Experience in emergency medicine preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
- Passing score on North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE)

Pay
The annualized base for this position ranges from $112,000 to $150,000 and is negotiable based on experience and credentials. Production/commission and other variable pay programs may also be available.
Schedule
The practice operates seven days a week, providing 24-hour hospitalized patient care.
