Emergency Veterinarian
About the role
After Hour Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join their team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. You’ll deliver exceptional, real-time care when pets and their families need it most, strengthening your triage and critical assessment skills while being supported by a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency care for sick and injured patients
- Manage hospitalized cases
- Assess and diagnose patients
- Develop and oversee treatment plans
- Partner closely with technicians to ensure high-quality execution of care
- Perform surgeries and deliver critical care
- Maintain an exceptional standard of service for every patient
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required
- State Veterinary Board License: Active and in good standing for the state of intended employment
- Obtained prior to start date
- Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible
- Experience in emergency medicine or completion of small animal rotating or emergency internships is highly recommended

Pay
Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience with an annual PROSAL full-time range starting at $180K/year. The actual salary offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Schedule
Full-time position, working nights, weekends, and holidays.
