About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Veterinarian (ER) to join a collaborative emergency veterinary team. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality emergency and critical care using advanced diagnostic technology while working alongside experienced veterinarians, skilled nursing staff, and supportive leadership. Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical and surgical care for companion animals.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency and critical care patients.
- Perform emergency procedures and surgical interventions as needed.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment, including in-house laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, CT imaging, and endoscopy.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure outstanding patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and treatment documentation.
- Refer patients to specialty services when appropriate.
- Uphold the highest standards of emergency veterinary medicine and patient care.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
- Active Texas Veterinary License (or eligible for licensure).
- Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Room (ER) veterinary experience required.
- Strong interest and experience in emergency medicine and surgery.
- Commitment to practicing gold-standard veterinary medicine.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and client service skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
