About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Veterinarian (ER) to join a collaborative emergency veterinary team. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality emergency and critical care using advanced diagnostic technology while working alongside experienced veterinarians, skilled nursing staff, and supportive leadership. Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical and surgical care for companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency and critical care patients.
• Perform emergency procedures and surgical interventions as needed.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment, including in-house laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, CT imaging, and endoscopy.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure outstanding patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and treatment documentation.
• Refer patients to specialty services when appropriate.
• Uphold the highest standards of emergency veterinary medicine and patient care.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
• Active Texas Veterinary License (or eligible for licensure).
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Room (ER) veterinary experience required.
• Strong interest and experience in emergency medicine and surgery.
• Commitment to practicing gold-standard veterinary medicine.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and client service skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
