About the Role
Veterinary Care & Specialty Group (VCSG) is a premier regional small-animal emergency and referral hospital situated at the foot of Lookout Mountain, along the Tennessee River. We provide uncompromised care to even the most challenging cases through interdepartmental collaboration and our state-of-the-art facility. Our mission is to deliver compassionate, advanced referral and emergency care.
Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 emergency and critical care to a broad range of cases.
- Participate in our Fast Track ER rotating shift structure, designed to offer flexible appointment options for non-emergent care.
- Collaborate with specialists across departments, including surgery, internal medicine, neurology, cardiology, oncology, and physical rehabilitation.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies, such as ultrasound, digital radiology, CT scanning, MRI, and an onsite blood bank.
- Work in a team-oriented environment that emphasizes learning, development, and mentorship.
Requirements
- Earned a DVM or equivalent degree.
- Passion for emergency medicine and helping others.
- Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Enjoyment in working up and treating a broad range of challenging cases.
