Emergency Veterinarian
About the role
Emergency Veterinarian position available with a base salary of $160,000 annually, potentially up to 26% in production bonuses based on experience and certifications. Offers a $30,000 sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of cats and dogs.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
- Perform soft tissue emergency surgical procedures.
- Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
- Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
- Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
Requirements
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for New Hampshire veterinary licensure.
- Completion of a rotating internship and/or 2+ years’ experience practicing emergency medicine is preferred.

Pay
$160,000 base with potential for 24% to 26% production bonuses based on experience and certifications.
Schedule
- Choose between 3 rotating shifts per week (mix of 10-hr day and 15-hr overnight shifts) OR only 2 15-hour overnight shifts per week with full benefits.
