Emergency Veterinarian

About the role

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join their growing Emergency team. They are an integral part of their multi-specialty and emergency hospitals and work closely with all the specialists in their hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to patients in emergency situations.
• Work closely with specialists and share expertise.
• Access to advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities, including CT, ultrasound, and digital radiography.
• Collaborate with a strong mix of specialties, including cardiology, emergency and critical care, surgery, internal medicine, and oncology.
• Work in a supportive team culture with experienced specialists and a dedicated support team.

Requirements

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree.
• Holding a valid state veterinary license.
• An unwavering commitment to emergency care.
• Self-directed, committed ongoing learner.
• Outstanding analytical capacity, attention to detail, and follow through.
• Proven problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Google Apps for Work and Cornerstone Practice Management software is a plus.

• Must be officially certified.

Pay

Compensation Highlights: Average Base Range: $140,000-$180,000 plus commissions. Relocation Assistance & Sign-On Bonus available!

Schedule

Full-time position with 24-hour coverage.
