About the role
BluePearl Pet Hospital in Queens is seeking a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join our state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital. Our hospital is located in the Forest Hills area of Queens, and we serve pets in the neighborhoods of Astoria, Bayside, Bellerose, Corona, Elmhurst, Flushing, Fresh Meadows, Glen Oaks, Howard Beach, Jackson Heights, Jamaica, Kew Gardens, Long Island City, Middle Village, Oakland Gardens, Richmond Hill, Ridgewood, St. Albans, Sunnyside, Whitestone, Woodhaven and Woodside. Those without ER experience (including new graduates) are encouraged to apply through our EmERge Mentorship Training Program.
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert care to critically ill or injured pets in a dynamic environment.
- Utilize cutting-edge diagnostic tools and perform life-saving procedures under the guidance of a multidisciplinary team of specialists.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners about medical conditions and treatment plans.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and professional growth, making a real impact on the lives of pets and their owners.
Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree required.
- Completion of a rotating internship or residency in emergency and critical care preferred but not required.
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in this state.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, with the ability to make rapid and accurate assessments in emergency situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate bedside manner.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications

Pay
Annual base salary up to $210,000.00, depending upon level of experience.
Schedule
24/7 emergency medicine, cardiology, critical care, dermatology and allergy treatment, internal medicine, soft tissue, minimally invasive, and orthopedic surgery, oncology, radiology, and anesthesiology.
