Emergency Veterinarian

About the role

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Washington, PA (South Hills) is seeking Emergency Veterinarians to join our team in a large referral setting which includes seven criticalists combined at our three Pittsburgh locations.

Responsibilities

• Practice the highest standard of quality medicine and patient care in a large referral setting.
• Deliver expert care to critically ill or injured pets in a dynamic environment.
• Utilize cutting-edge diagnostic tools and perform life-saving procedures under the guidance of a multidisciplinary team of specialists.
• Communicate clearly with pet owners about medical conditions and treatment plans.
• Contribute to a collaborative and supportive environment that values continuous learning and professional growth.

Requirements

• DVM/VMD degree required.
• Completion of a rotating internship or residency in emergency and critical care preferred but not required.
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in this state.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, with the ability to make rapid and accurate assessments in emergency situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate bedside manner.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Pay

Annual base salary with additional earning potential through quarterly production (NO negative accrual).

Schedule

Practice in a large referral setting with after-hours emergency medicine on evenings and weekends.
