Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Runs specimens to the Laboratory
- Assists with transport to units/radiology
- Answers call lights
- Assists with lab draws (holding child or extremity)
- Assists patients in/out of vehicles
- Places patients on monitors
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and gives positive feedback especially when coaching fellow employees on performance issues.
Requirements
- Working under the director of the Registered Nurse, the ER Tech assists in patient care activities, maintains department stock, and performs technical duties in accordance with policy and procedures.
- Should be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- Emergency Department or EMT experience preferred
- Current BCLS Certificate
Pay
$29-$40/hour
