Emergency Technician - Full Time Evening

About the role

The Emergency Services Technician role is a non-licensed health care employee who performs delegated routine and predictable patient care tasks/duties and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).

Responsibilities

• Performs ECGs, vital signs, monitoring, basic patient care and transportation.
• Responds appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age-specific needs based on the emergency department scope of service.

Requirements

• Certification as an EMT or completion of an accredited EMT course, or equivalent educ/experience.
• Demonstrated equivalency (such as experience as a Corpsman or MD).
• Coursework/Training: Basic EKG course.
• California Emergency Medical Technician License.
• 1 year of EMT experience.
• 1 year of Emergency Department experience.

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications: Certification as an EMT or completion of an accredited EMT course, or equivalent educ/experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Basic EKG course.
